The olive tree of Basque country
On a steep hillside, in a small space separating the river Ebro from the majestic mountain range of the Sierra Cantabria, and untouched by time, is the home of the olive trees known by the name of Arroniz.
Small but strong, strong enough to withstand the cold from the north, and the dry conditions from the inland, known enemies of their other brothers.
The olive oil from the Basque Country, despite being among us for more than 2000 years, is perhaps the product that is least well known in Basque gastronomy, a hidden treasure.
In the Rioja Alavesa, for centuries we have been working with a variety of olive, the Arroniz and its oil, passed down to us over the years from the times of the Phoenicians who introduced it, and from our ancestors who have kept it alive up until now.
A very special oil, here, for you.

Nothing has been able to break the bond that the inhabitants of this area have forged with these trees. A deal that was signed thousands of years ago which today holds in place, and for which our love and care is greatly rewarded with the oils that these olives produce.
Olives with their own character, extremely nutritious, leaders as regards the high levels of polyphenols, with a pleasant but intense bitterness, worthy of those oils with a high quality of oleocanthal.
With aromas fresh like the land they come from, taking us to the green lands surrounding our olive trees, symbol and nutritional wealth of RIOJA ALAVESA
Using techniques and technology made better year after year, joined to the Arroniz olive, we have managed to achieve the best of oils worldwide, the best of oils from the Basque Country.
Whilst always respecting the natural cycle of the orchards, in balance with nature and concentrating on quality, we carry out a controlled production, dividing into small batches and separating the oils at each stage of gathering.
Giving importance to what we do. Doing what we know best.
